    Hi Scott

Sorry late response, probably have closed by now. However they may have told you you need to make an appointment with one of their debt counsellors. In some areas demand is high and it might take a couple of weeks to see the right person.

CAB will help run through a budget with you and look at your finances and suggest options that might be suitable for you. They will help you work out offers to your creditors if you are going to do a DMP for example and will help with template letters etc. If they advised bankrupty or a DRO they would run through the implications of that with you.

CAB won't actually manage a DMP for you like CCCS or Payplan would but will help you to do it yourself. They wouldn't have you pay them and they pay your creditors for example.

They certainly have helped a lot of people on this forum with their debts as well as other legal issues and similar.

There are at least 2 CAB advisers regularly on DFW (almost every day) so hopefully one of those will see this and advise further (and correct anything I have got wrong!)

CAB is always worth having a chat to, this is because you sit and talk to a real person infront of you.

As personal as debt is, dealing with it over the telephone does feel impersonal to some.

I would advise you speak to CAB, then probably move on from CAB and get NDL, CCCS, PayPlan, or CAP to handle any debt management plans or other such plans on your behalf.
