Security questions when contacting CSA

Just a bit of advice to others...
Just phoned CSA only to be told I had failed the security check

The only thing I can think of was I might have been a week out when I estimated the last time I contacted them. I really don't think that I made a mistake with my child's name or date of birth or the name of my bank!!

I couldn't believe it! I burst into tears, got mad, got myself together and phoned straight back and got through to another operator. Asked the same questions and I got through straight away.

In future I will be keeping a 'log' of when I phone them!
Be warned!

DX2 - maybe that will be my plan from now on! Apparently they are in the process of checking some information - so I've put it in my diary for this time next week.

Meanwhile - it's nice hear that XH is having a lovely time driving his nice car, having lovely holidays, nights out etc.... I'm sure you know the score!

  • DX2 is right on all counts.

I have another problem with the security questions, they always ask the name of the NRP. I then have to say this outloud, and DD1 wonders why I have mentioned his name.
This leaves me with a dilemma, as I really do not want to tell her about his hideous behaviour, I want her to suss him out herself when she's older.

I have asked that they ask me a different question, but they said basically, "no, tough luck".
Please do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x

It was just so annoying because I've never had a problem before. I'm sure the guy I spoke to was a 'Jobsworth'. What makes me mad is that apart from when did I last contact the CSA - the rest of the questions are known by several people. (Name of NRP, Name and Date of Birth of Child etc). BUT there must be stuff that would prove, without a doubt that it is the PWC that is on the phone. I even offered to give him a specific account of the last phone call - but that wasn't good enough. I know it's the rules but this particular guy made me feel like I was up to no good instead of trying to make the NRP face up to his responsibilities!

Nice one! Actually I'm also a bit superstitious about saying his name out loud, a bit like Voldemort!

Unfortunately they don't attract the very best intelligent or sensible people England has to offer...excepting kellogg of course.
