Travelodge have a £15 off rooms at certain hotels, for a limited period only, its on their own website

I've just had a look at Topcashback and nowhere does it say there is no cashback on UK rooms - in fact I have a booking through Topcashback yet to take at the moment.

Cashback Paid on completed stay. Weekend booking fees are applied on any stays starting on a Friday, Saturday or Sunday night – plus Bank Holidays. If any booking covers a weekend day, then the whole booking receives this rate.

This is too late for the original poster but may help someone else - I've just been emailed a code from Travelodge for £15 off flexible room rate bookings: FP62666G.

For stays between Sunday 15th and Friday 20th August, excluding (for some reason?!) Thursday 19th August. Offer ends on Wednesday 18th August.

I gave up looking at these places and now stick to laterooms. Yes there are cheap offers available, if you want to stay in a motorway services on a Wednesday night :-)

Try finding a cheap room in a town on a Saturday or Friday night, not a chance.

If you want to go somewhere for a weekend try the innkeepers lodge, 3 nights for the price of 2, always a pub next door where you can get a reasonably priced meal, and usually in the centre of town or close to.
