Dessert Island Makeup

Options
Imagine you are marooned on a desert Island with your idea of a Mr. McDreamy, to keep you looking good, what 10 makeup products would you take, costing £5/E5 or less...

My list...

1) Dove Summer Glow for face spf 15 (I got it at a 2 euro store, I don't know the original price so I guess I'm already cheating!)
2) Primark eyebrow gel and powder grooming set - £2.50
3) Aldi Lacura concealer pen - can't remember the price but I'm sure it was under a fiver.
4) Boots Natural Collection mascara brown waterproof £1.99
5) 2True cheek and lip tint in 'Rose' £1.95
6) Rimmel Jelly Tints lip balm in 'passion' - another euro store find!
7) ELF All Over Colour Stick 'spotlight' - £1.50
8) Carlo di Roma Perfect eyeliner blue - bought for E 2.00 in Spain
9) Primark Fatal Retraction eyeliner green - £2.00
10) Catrice soft eyeshadow quartet 'brown collection' - E 5.00
No buying unnecessary toiletries 2014. Epiphany on 4/4/14 - went into shop to buy 2 items, walked out with 17!

blimey, couldn't manage all that ! I would stick with an SPF 50 sun cream (Boots Soltan), some translucent face powder to get rid of the shine and a clear lip gloss. I'd rather have some toiletries - insect repellant, hand cream, deodorant, shower gel, shampoo & conditioner, toothbrush and paste, mouthwash ! Couldn't manage without my nail file.

And I'd bust the budget with some nice perfume such as Chanel No 5 or Rive Gauche.

  • Well, this was just imagining you already had all your toiletry needs, just desert island makeup!

I'm the same if I had to chose would go for the toiletries definitely, but if you had to chose cosmetics/makeup what would they be. I came up with this idea after thinking back to last year when I visited my brother in Turkey. I travelled with only hand luggage, and wanted to only take cheap stuff in case I had to leave stuff behind in favor of bringing souvenirs and gifts back.
