Best way forward?

Hi,

Got £20,000 of credit card debt over a few cards, Im meeting the minimum payments for the cards every month at the moment but they are not going down. My credit rating wont allow me to get any 0% deals anywhere or loans. I work in the financial industry and getting an IVA or declaring myself bankrupt will put my job at risk.

Do credit cards reduce APR or freeze interest anymore these days?

Any help or advice is appreciated.

Write out to them and ask them, some are more helpful then others but you don't ask you don't get! If they refuse you might need to look at setting up a dmp with someone like cccs or payplan as they are often more inclined to do it when these companies are involved. Be aware though that this option will probably lead to you having to make reduced payments which would affect your credit rating.
