thanks
if we do go for it it wont go on the market until the new year, we have some loose ends to tie up mainly decorating and sprucing the place up a bit plus our son who will be 20 dosent want to come with us so is going to find some were to rent himself were we are now so need to give him plenty of time to adjust..
i do worry a bit that once we exchange contracts we are gona be homeless lol, we will have bit of a mad rush to find a rental in prob only a 4 week window, and what if we cant get one etc etc as we wont pass the credit check, although have spoken to one agent who said as long as we can do 6 months in advance there should be no problem?, but still a worry when towing a 2yr old around with us..0 -
Hi Tuscan,
It's up to you really as it's a huge decision. However, one benefit would be having no more debt! If you do decide to sell and try to get full and final settlement figures, deal with the companies only in writing and make sure you get all offers in writing and the offers contain the words "as full and final settlement of this debt" to ensure they or another dca cannot come back for more cash down the line. I would also start as low as 20% with offers and then see if they make a counteroffer of say 50%, you could then make another counter offer of 25% and see how it goes until you get a settlement figure your happy with.
Good luck in whatever you decideIf you've nothing decent to say, perhaps you shouldn't say anything.

yes thanks, if we go for it and guess we will, then when the time comes ill be on here asking for advice on F&F's, and will defo start off low and go from there, dosent matter how long it takes to get sorted (within reason) as the cash will be sitting in our account waiting and earning a bit of interest..
one thing though, if we dont do it then sure as eggs is eggs we will defo end up paying the full amounts + some interest anyway, so by selling up it should save us some money defo with the CCJ interest at £200 a month!0
