Just noticed that Argos (Extra) are selling the Sony Nwa1000 6Gb Walkman Mp3 Player - in Silver at £79.99. These were £159.99 so quite a bargain I think! Lovely Christmas pressie?

I clicked and reserved one of these a few weeks ago and had to travel to Meadowhell for the pleasure - When I got home I unpacked my goodies only to find they had given me the wrong one:mad: Not really mad as they gave me the 8gb one instead :T

Hiya,

My other half uses his MP3 for downloading audio books whilst travelling in his car (he travels a lot!). I'm sure it will be compatible - but I'll check with him when he gets back.
I know in a couple of reviews about this MP3, people have commented on the dodgy software - I've had Sony MP3's for a couple of years, and its never been an issue for me. Just thought I'd mention it!

Hels, thanks for replying to my query. I don't want to get a Sony if I can't use it on Audible, as I want to buid a library of talking books. I will await your chat with your hubby.

Don't think so - audible don't use MP3 format. But I'd be surprised if you can find many of these still available anyway.
