help-owe money

I started on the 19th july and ended 26th july (went via agency and mislead about hours)

THey paid me £400 for two weeks. I left after the first. I saved he moeny i owe them. But how long do they have to claim the 200 back?

    Six years. I suspect they may catch up with before then!

    Ohh.. six years to reclaim the money. Do you have a website i can see this (not that i dont beilive you, just i like to clarify)

    the 6 years is for recovering a debt, as you have not completed your part of the contract and left without notice then they have the right to claim this back.

    I said thankfully because I believe you should just pay them straight back regardless of if the job was not what you wanted rather than play games.

    the 6 years is for recovering a debt, as you have not completed your part of the contract and left without notice then they have the right to claim this back.

    I agree. It is rather amazing you were paid up front - I haven't heard of this one before! But all in all - you owe the money, you know you do, pay it back. You have no doubt burnt some bridges with the client and the agency - please don't make it any worse for yourself.

    Damn - that was fast! I was just about to point out that (if you hadn't disagreed with it) the OP would have had to additionally pay court fees! Just as well you disagreed with it :)

    rgay1992 it does not matter how long they have to claim it back as they shouldn't have to claim it back. You know that the money is not yours and that it belongs to the company so give them the money back. You aren't a thief are you?
