Hello I have a debt with British Gas. They sold it onto a DCA and they are actually really nice:D BG have the worst customer service I have ever come across
For starters I would not deal with them on the phone anymore. Everything in writing.
Secondly, as someone pointed out to me on my thread, they cannot take what you do not have. Pay what you can, when you can x
Good luck x0 -
Have a look at http://www.britishgasenergytrust.org.uk/your_application/index.html
They help people with BG arrears, as a one off. I got about £900 paid off.Payment a day challenge: £236.69
Jan Shopping Challenge: £202.09/£250
Frugal Living Challenge: £534.64/150000 -

Spooky me too - I mentioned this the other day... the BG debt isn't mine, it's my partners and the DCA let me set up the payment plan online, didn't even have to speak to anyone... :T0 -
was it SC Gray? x0

I'm sorry caz, I can't help too much on this one, as the debt involved in my OH's case was for a house he doesn't live in anymore, so he's no longer a BG customer.
It seems that they use different DCA Co's too, so no guarantees which one it will be. Hopefully someone else can give you better advice.0 -
