Whats happens when you become pregnant

Again Congratulations and again please don't panic.
When I had my first son my husband was moving to a lower paid job and I gave up work and we lost £1000 a month and thought we would die. But actually we ended off feeling better off. Whe you are on maternity leave you have more time to shop for deals and bargains unlike when your at work and yuo just dash to the nearest shop for food. Also cooking is easier so you won't fancy take outs and all the things you spend money on at work coffees petrol etc etc you won't be spending. Honestly because we were so careful throughout my whole pregnancy we ended up with more disposable income.
Also start buying nappies now and I started using less of my wage straight away so when baby was born we were used to having less money and having saved some of my wage we had a little nest egg for emergencies.
Good luck and keep us all upto date.

Hi there
A good way of buying cheap good quality baby stuff is to attend a Nearly New Sale advertised on the National Childbirth Trust website. Just type in your postcode and you'll find a sale going on near you. They are usually held twice a year and you can get some excellent bargains. I regularly attend the one in Swansea and have had some real bargains in the past, as my babies aren't babies any more I have recently started to sell my stuff at the sale and it's great way to earn some cash ( the NCT charge a small commission). HI there
Im sure that "the basics " of clothes/toys/ other essentials/ etc has all been covered by suggestions in this thread already.
However, if you ar eworried agout losing a grand a month income, we have to see your SOA in order to see if there are any cutbacks and further stretches of the money as is.
Lets have a see, and then we can comment better
