In respect of putting it in savings account, would it not be better applied to the debt repayment if the % APR is higher than the savings account would accrue???

Hello all, was away for the weekend so haven't checked back in a while. I have just been informed that mum is possibly going to be getting an inheritance through from her aunt. We don't know how much it is but its going to help, whatever it is.

Since coming here and talking to you al about it i've felt a lot better and can see that we're not in that dire a situation. I think the typical adage is "There's always someone worse of than you" and some of the stories i've read on here are heart-rending. This problem of getting into debt is spiraling way out of control, it's about time the authorities started to address the problem more directly. I know its not going to happen but i think we should give them a link to this forum and ask them if its not a very pressing prob.

Thank you all for your advice and help, i hope you all get where you want to be soon, and wish you all the best. I'll keep an eye out here when i can, who knows, i may be able to give some help back someday
