about 6 years ago I forgot to take a DVD back to the shop ( a Spar type shop) and I think i accumulated about £17 worth of late fines.I havent been back there since(I honestly forgot to pay!)I am worried that this will catch up with me!Please advise!!

  • Blimey, you're lucky not to have heard anything. My hubby forgot to take a Blockbuster DVD back and a debt collection agency sent him a really stroppy letter less than 2 months later- BB argued that they'd phoned him twice and no one had answered- not true at all.

    You could always check your credit file and see if it's mentioned on there?

    um, pop into the shop, ask them to check and then pay up if you're still there?

    I'm sorry if this is a genuine post, but personally I won't be losing sleep over a 6 year old Dvd with fines of (gulp) £17.
    This year I'm getting organised once and for all, and going to buy a house with my wonderful other half. And that' s final!

    well then, simply go into the shop, see if you're still on the sytem. If it's bothering you enough you ask about it, then you need to sort it. If you are, pay the money. If not, give it to charity maybe
