if any of you good ladies (or men) solve this problem then all credit too you...
Upon compiling out "first dance" list we stumbled across a song a classic 1970's song we hadn't heard for a while. It was a ......
1970's
Disco vibe
fairly up-beat
recommended on some list of first dance songs (but searched again and can't repeat it)
by an artist who's name was.... christian name, middle, name, last name (like Fred Fellows Johnson) and is defo a man.
think British too
and DH'd comments first time round were "cheese, but fab".....
think along the lines of "earth wind and fire, Fantasy" but not that!
Throw suggestions at me please? Been trying to remember this possible song for day, and no luck.
Please chuck all possible suggestions at me, appreciated!!

nope. thats not it. Could kick myself as I wrote it down at the time.
I know it's not an unknown song as I was born in 72 a knew it straight away, word for word. Trawled disco classics, first song classics, etc. Not a slow song, a medium song, romantic. Total random ask, I know. Obviously "loving" lyrics" etc as came up in first dances but researching doesnt remind me.
Disco and cheesy though, definately!!0 -
Are you sure it's a blokes name?
So he's British.
It's a 70s track.
Disco track maybe?
Upbeat.
Anything else you can tell us?
Was he white or black?
Any lyrics you can remember?Tank fly boss walk jam nitty gritty...0 -

My muso OH is now trawling through all his MP3 files...he has all top 20 songs from 1952 so it'll be there somewhere if it was a proper hit. Do you reckon it would have been top 20? You did say you knew it instantly. And is it definitely a male solo artist with 3 names - not a band name? Not an initial like Ben E King??
Do you have any lyrics - that would help sooo much0 -
How do you know he is British if you don't know his name or any of the lyrics?Tank fly boss walk jam nitty gritty...0
