    it sure did !! thanks

    i just had a clawback letter from a local authority for a HUUGE amount of money... sighs.. more letter writing and research and hassle needed to justify why i should not pay it back...

    sadly LHA clients do need more and more time to service their accounts ....

    That *is* a lousy start to your week..... is it not the case though that, if the T has been acting fraudulently, the LHA office cannot claw the LHA payments back from the LL unless they can show that the LL knew about changes in the Ts circs and failed to notify the LHA office?

    In theory.....

    In practice step one seems to be threaten the LL (whatever the facts) and leave it up to the LL to "prove" that they did all they could to check up on the T (not taking into account, of course, a private LL's limited powers and the strong T protection to which we are subject).
