Just had Branston Chicken and it was scrummy
Final cost was around £1.00 per person
Serves 4
4 Chicken thighs
6 large potatos chopped up
4 large carrots sliced
2 pints of stock or 2 pints of water and a stock cube
2 large tablespoons of Branston or similar pickle
1 squirt of brown or tomato sauce
Put in one large pot - pop in the oven for 1hr 45 mins (medium heat)
Serve with bread (as the juice is delish!)

            I'm getting a slow cooker tomorrow. :j
D'ya think it'll cook in that? Seems to be plenty of liquid sloshing about. Does much of it evaporate in the 1hr 45mins?
You cannot live as I have lived an not end up like me.

The potatos absorb quite alot of the liquid however its was a rough estimate at 2 pints. It was enough fluid to cover the mixture well.
It would work in a slow cooker however I dont have one so i dont know how long chicken & potato would take to cook through.0

Sweetish like a barbeque sauce..but not as pungent.
I shall be having it again soon. 0 0
