Current mg ending soon: not much left to pay - best way to pay off?

Hi,
Hoping someone can advise please!
Our current mortgage deal ends in six months, at which stage, we'll move up to a slightly higher rate (3.5% - according to current report, but should interest rates increase, will change, obviously!).
I've calculated that when our current deal ends, unless we have any emergencies to pay out for, we'll have £45k left to pay (possibly less!) - and between my husband and I, we can pay this off in a year. However, this doesn't take into account interest. So maybe a bit more than a year!
Do I hunt around for a better deal than the one my current provider is offering?
I'd like to work 'backwards', in that, we say to the lender:
We can pay £4k a month, and would like to do so for 12 (or so) months.
Am I likely to be able to find such a lender? Is a re-mortgage our only option?
Thanks in advance.

Will a mortgage lender provide a one year mortgage? It might not be worth their while. Why not consider a short term personal loan?0

Thanks. Yes, that's kind of what I am wondering. But I wondered if the interest charged would be not worth it, and I might be better off staying with my current mortgage provider, but on the higher rate than I am currently on.
Any pointers on where to find a good short-term personal loan? Any tools for where I can compare and contrast?
Thanks!0
