Skin care issues

Recently i have started to use the garnia prodcts, because i have really bad spots and balckheasds, i used loads of stuff that wasnt too expensive and none of it worked, but around my nose/nostrils, ears and depth of my chin have got really dry and sore, i ahve stopped sing the exfoliator brush which i was using twioce a day and all the other skincare products until this clears up, but just splashing some warm water and putting some clinque moistriser on doesnt seem to make my face feel clean, is it okay what im doing or do i need to use sudocream and e45 and stuff like that, thanks!

Could it be that the products you have been using are too harsh for your skin?? I have a very red face and sensitive skin so have to be really careful about what I use (even the simple range is too much for me)

I have recently been converted to the No7 radiance boosting hot cloth cleanser (got it cheap with a £5 money off voucher). I use it once a day in the evening and then moisturise with bio oil and then in the morning I just wipe my face over with a damp face cloth. During the day I'm not moisturising at the moment but am using an Avon facial sun tan cream (F20).

I have been doing this for 3 weeks now and have noticed a BIG improvement in my complexion and have had no adverse reactions sensitivity wise from the products so it's all good (so far :j)

    Hope this helps x

ps. when I did exactly the same thing as you I found putting sudocrem, E45 etc on my face actually made it worse
:naughty: Save money on toiletries: no new/duplicate items until I've used up all existing supplies

Your asking if something is right and there really is no right or wrong when it comes to skincare- its all personal choice and what works for you, everyone has their own preferences, everyone has their own skin type.

If you find your skin is not looking at its best, I'd question not only your skincare routine but also what your lifestyle is like, things like touching your face alot, washing conditioner (pillow), the frequency of washing your face, even how- quite often people do not rinse enough and some cleanser residue is left on the face, this is why I use a toner, some people don't feel they need or want a toner, for me I see noticable differences when I use one.

Have you tried visiting a dermalogical assistant? they can normally advise on things to try for your skin or if your unsure of what to try or do, you normally only need one appointment and these can be affordable if you go to local salons or sometimes if salons have special offers.

With sudocream or e45, again, its all preference, personally I wouldn't use either as I find they clog my skin and I get painful whitehead spots but others have skin which seems to work well with the creams and so they use them. If you feel a cream is not working, try something else but try not to chop and change too often as it can cause problems, wait at least 10-14 days before swapping around if you can.

Also, when it comes to spots and blackheads, its not all down to what you put onto your skin, much of it is genetic, much of it is hormonal. Some you can control, some you can't. What you can do is help to reduce or control the outbursts you do get. I am not a skincare specialist but know with my skin when it breaks out due to hormones that its going to do its own thing, I just have to wait for it to be over, its something I had to learn white recently- I never used to get spots! I find that using a teatree oil and witch hazel type cleaning wash and dabbing on the occasional spot gel helps to reduce their size and they tend to vanish not too long after. (I use the Garnier roll on- this is what seems to not have worked for you so again, everyone is different, you need to find what works for you and it may not be what works for everyone else).

If things are really bad, maybe see a doctor- they can prescribe things.
