First Direct 5.3% unsecured after cashback
I'm not sure if this is open to everyone, but as a customer of First Direct, they offered me last week (and I accepted!) a personal loan at 6.9% but if it ran until the end of the term they refund 25% of the total interest paid.
They seemed to think that this equated to 5.3% overall interest paid although it doesn't work out like that on a calculator but it's probably something to do with APR etc etc.
The conditions were that it must be £5k or more OR at least £3k additional borrowing if it is to replace an existing loan with them.
Not a bad deal...
