Long story short.. my ex only paid any maintenence for my DS for 11 months @100 per month ... He is now 5 and a half
I never went to the CSA
If I went to them now could they backdate it to when he left??
Also my DH is now adopting my DS i know this would effect any future payments once this is through but could I claim for any backdated??
Thanks in advance

CSA will only backdate to when you contact them and they contact the NRP....and the case will close on the adoption0

Honestly if your DH is adopting your child I wouldn't even touch the CSA with a barge pole, they won't backdate so don't cause your new family the hassle of the CSA.Long story short.. my ex only paid any maintenence for my DS for 11 months @100 per month ... He is now 5 and a half

Sorry about your situation, not sure why the ex has to pay bills if he no longer lives there?
They say 2 can live as cheaply as 1, and that is very near the case, if your child was not living with you, the bills would be little less than what you are paying now.
Perhaps he will not put in a claim either once he adopts.
Good luck :beer:0 -

No he moved back into the house we both owned and I continued to pay the bills .. they were coming out the joint account that was paying the mortgage and he wouldnt put any more money in other than the mortgage so I had to top it up constantly as I wouldnt risk the mortgage defaulting if a bill came out?? Does that make sense??
the child was and always has lived with me he has only seen him maybe for 2 hours since he left in 2005BSC Member 207 :beer:Mummy to 3 Wonderful Children 2 Boys and a Princess0 -
Just mark it down as expensive experience, one that you won't let happen againThanks guys.. thought that was probably the case.. But was hoping for any chance of some money.. just a question, if he only paid for 11 months and your child is now 5 1/2, why leave it so long to goto CSA?0

Because now the NRP has agreed to the child being adopted, she no longer needs his goodwill? Please do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x0
