Hoping that someone can help me with this, i guess it is more than likely my graphics card that's fried but im hoping some techie person can give me another option to try before i spend any cash.
I turned my pc on after a few days and all of a sudden, bits of it are pink and kinda wobbly. I have tried the dead pixel buddy and as far as i can tell, that all seems to be ok. I have done a system restore, a safe boot and gone back to last good configuration, i've updated the drivers to my graphics card. I guess i should try a different monitor as well, just to check its not that, but i dont really think it is.
Any ideas....? I posted a pic to show what its like... Break it to me gently please... Oh and BTW, its a Nvidia card, and from googling, it seems they are renowned for doing this, its just maybe a year old so not a problem right from the start.
OMG!! apologies, the pic is huge.

Thank you for that suggestion but to be honest, i have no idea what you are talking about, i'm a complete technophobe, maybe you could explain in terms that a hopeless blonde can understand please?. :rotfl:
Thank you.

Do you not see the bits that have tiny pink dots all over it?...
I tried to wiggle the cable a bit as i read somewhere that the cable might be a prob but it seems tight enough. I tried the screws and they seem ok.
Thank you

Really??.. maybe it is my monitor then, i'm getting more hopeful by the minute, or maybe i'm not. i'm totally lost now. I think perhaps the best thing would be to try a different monitor.
Thank you.

My monitor goes a bit funny intermittently, but if I turn it on n' off again, the wibbly bits go away.
If you unplug the video cable from the back of the PC (hopefully it's a blue connector at the graphics card, that's it's VGA port) then look for another blue connector amongst the USB slots, etc above it, that will be your onboard (motherboard) VGA connector. It may be covered by a black plastic cap though, if you have one at all.
If it's a long, white connector then that's a DVI cable, and you're very unlikely to have a matching port like that on the motherboardIT Field Service Engineer, 20 years with screwdriver and hammer
