  • Hello!

I've just come in from my friend's leaving do and I have been totally AF, Yippeee! So one more AFD for me please Shaggy

The down side was that I had to leave very early, because the meal finished at 9pm and they all headed into town to one of the popular bars, which was rammed full of Saturday night party-goers, dressed up to the 9's. Even at that time, a lot of them were drunk and as it was so busy everyone was pushing past everyone else and dancing about and going bananas, and they were playing rap and R&B music which isn't to my taste at all.

So it was not enjoyable for me and I lasted an hour, which considering the circumstances, is pretty good, but I still felt bad for leaving my friend's do so early, but I honestly couldn't stand it.

If I had been drinking, I know I would have stayed and gone mental with the rest of them, but I am proud of myself that I didn't drink tonight (although I couldn't afford to buy booze tonight anyway :o).

I am off to bed now, I am completely knackered.

    Hugs,
    Caz

Took my son out for a meal as it was his birthday, he had a beer I stuck with lemonade. That makes it 11 AFD for me this month and 19 AFD on the trot.
  • Morning everyone! I've been up since stupid o'clock again, been having a couple of drinks the last few nights so fresh start today. My score is still 5 for September so far I think Shaggy - no more AF days since I last posted. I was so motivated last week too. Oh well, baby steps and all that. At least these days when I do have a drink, it's only 2 or 3 which is an improvement. I think I need to get my head sorted out - it's like half of me wants to give up completely but the other half wants to be able to enjoy a couple of drinks at the weekend. I can't help but think it would be easier to give up altogether. Sorry for rambling on - but you all understand don't you? After your message above DB, I must tell you that I met my husband on match.com 8 years ago - best thing I ever did. I can highly recommend it. Off to list some stuff on ebay - it's free listing this weekend. Have a lovely Sunday everyone.

What do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.

Ha, I'm such a CRAZY guy......

I don't get those feelings of huge excitement any more (like just before a drinking spree). The upside is I don't get the depression and anxiety that go along with those feelings.
More of a deep, contented happiness now.

    It's difficult to articulate....

    I get it... honest :D

I never really celebrate new jobs anyway. A month in to a a new job and I always wonder why I was so excited lol...
