    Bing bong bing.....Morning Campers!!

Feeling exhausted though un-hung-over'd which is a result as today is going to be busy, busy, busy!!

GCSE results come out at school today and so work will be very busy.

Good luck to those that have DS/DD's picking up their results today :)

    How's everyone?

On 15 AF, which means I've acheived the first part of the challenge.

Big day today, find out if I've got my dream job, DS1 gets GCSE results. Will be celebrating AF.

Big Bro fest tonight (sorry Lurks!), and will need copious cups of PG to see me through.

    Morning all!!

Feeling shattered today - slept like a log which usually leaves me lethargic the next day.

DC - good luck today for your news and DS1's! Fingers crossed for both of you!!

40SM and SOS - yes, Piglet starting school in a few weeks time!! Can't believe its come round so quick. And the BBC keep playing that damned advert about children going off into space...makes me want to cry!

OH's daughter collects her results today. She doesn't seem remotely concerned what the results will be , still has no job/apprenticeship placement/full-time college lined up so think OH is despairing of her. I sent her details of various full time jobs and she e-mailed back to say she still had her college course to go to....one day a week. I do wonder how she thinks she'll manage. Don't think her or her mother have realised child benefit will stop and so will maintenance payments if she is only in college one day a week.

    ANYWAY.....after that little mini rant....

Plans for today....if weather holds (was bright and sunny when got up but already clouding over:mad:) me and Piglet were planning to walk to the local lagoon and feed the ducks. Might still do it , even if its wet. Love walking in the rain (yes, I'm odd!:rotfl:)

So better get on. Hope you're not too busy Jo ! I don't envy school leavers nowadays....I did GCSEs and A levels and then walked straight into a job. Not like that nowadays.:(

    Miss P

I've had people ringing from 8am (!!!!) asking if they can come and collect their results now cos they're going out for the day

    Quite clearly we said 10am!!

We only just got the bloomin things, they have to be sorted and stuffed into envelopes yet

ETA: Oh and just so you're warned, I might need to have a little rant later about my neighbour with the 42" flat screen TV for those that remember her....

Me neither Miss P. I only did GCSEs, couldn't wait to get outta there! I did absolutely diabolically, unclassified in maths, but walked straight into a job in a bank and stayed there for 10 years!

It's not the be all and end all as much as they make out I don't think, if you do really bad but can offer yourself to companies as free work experience for a while then I think you have just as much chance falling into a paid job as much as anyone else, as that shows initiative and a willing to get on....just my opinion anyways :)
