Hi all,
Where is the best place to get mine and my wifes report?
Im pretty sure we have had free trials in the past so what is the best one to use.
I don't mind paying but only a one off if possible.
Thanks in advance

There are the 3 agencies. Experian (aka CreditExpert), Equifax and CallCredit. Anyone else supplying reports is just using old information from these 3 companies.
If you have used up the free trials already, I recommend getting the statutory £2 reports by post instead, from Experian and Equifax, as CallCredit is not often used for checking/reporting.Although no trees were harmed during the creation of this post, a large number of electrons were greatly inconvenienced.
There are two ways of constructing a software design: One way is to make it so simple that there are obviously no deficiencies, and the other way is to make it so complicated that there are no obvious deficiencies0 -
Will the £2 report cover pretty much what we saw on our free trials previously?
As in as much detail?
cheers0 -
The £2 statutory report is your credit report. All the details will be contained.
To be honest, I would give callcredit a miss. I don't think you'll find anything there that isn't in Equifax/Experian.
You can order them online.

I've never used one of them sites before, other than seeing whats been left by creditors what else is it worth paying for ?
What can I get done to it in order to remove or improve upon the several Defaults I have ?Beneficial Claims / We Fight Any Claim / Money Worries / Yes Loans are all the same Scam company.
Do not do business with any of them!!0 -
You see what organisations see when you apply for credit from them. It will show you all the credit accounts you have listed, how much is outstanding, if any are showing missed payments or defaults. It will show you if you are on the electoral roll.
If you did it electronically, it would look different, but here is a sample report:
http://www.experian.co.uk/downloads/consumer/mockReportOct08.pdf
PDF may take some time to load.
If you do have defaults - there are only two ways to sort them:
Pay them
Dispute them and maybe have them removed.
If you choose to pay them, they will still show on your credit file for 6 years, but it will be noted 'Satisfied'.
If you dispute them, you should send recorded delivery letters to the organisations involved asking for proof of a credit agreement.
If they do not have proof of a credit agreement, E.g. a signed credit agreement with a credit card - they don't have the competence to apply a default to your account and should remove it.
It's a long shot, but if you feel they are unfair it's worth it.
Alternatively, you can wait 6 years from the date of the default being registered and it will disappear from your report.0 -

I have defaults right now from Credit cards that have not provided proof of signed Credit Agreement.
So who do I ask to remove those defaults ?Beneficial Claims / We Fight Any Claim / Money Worries / Yes Loans are all the same Scam company.

As I said, you'll have to contact the lenders and ask them for a copy of the original signed credit agreement.
There should be templates on the web if you google it.0 -
Thats not true about defaults been removed, they can apply them they just cant take you to court.0

i would also suggest getting reports from Experian and Equifax, i also tried to get my CallCredit report but the info i entered as security didn't match what they had apparently so they wouldn't give it to me online and refunded my £2, i had a message saying i could apply for it via post by sending them some documents to prove i am who i say i am but in the end i decided not to bother after reading other advice on here. Experian is really user friendly and the report is easy to understand, but i found that there was a lot more information on my Equifax report so it was worth getting both.0

If a credit agreement cannot be produced; the agreement is unenforceable.
If you owe me £10 as a friend who asked for money, I can't have a default on your credit account if you don't give it back. I don't have any basis for the debt. The agreement is paramount.0
