Rillettes and Rillions.....Missing Presumed Not Discovered Yet?

I cant believe that the "financially disadvantaged" on here have not discovered Rillettes and Rillions they are the ultimate slow cooker recipe, cheap to make and really good, freezable and they keep in Kilner Jars too.
All you need is a bit of crusty bread and the pickle jar........
I cant part with my personal recipe for Rillette D'Tour as my aging father would skin me alive for parting with his family recipe. However this one is almost the same

Definitely not one for the weightwatchers, but I will be having a go at this. I've seen them on sale in France and often been tempted0

We lllllllllllluuuuuuuuuuurvvvvvvvvvveeeeeeeeeeee rillettes, I always bring a load home from france and freeze it, not very slimming but gorgeous on toast for a lunch especially with a glass of wine!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Mmmm.. I love rillettes too, not tried rillons yet though. I think there are recipes for both in Jocasta Innes' book The Pauper's Cookbook. I would imagine Jane Grigson's classic Charcuterie and French Pork Cookery will have recipes too0
