Hope everyone is okay, Reporting yesterday as a NSD, only groceries, but they are in budget, so don't count as a spend. Sent DH and DD shopping with a list and copy of the meal plan for the week, Drummed it into them that the budget is no more than £75 and they were under no circumstances to go over. As DH nearly always spends a small fortune. Well i set them a small extra challange, as i knew we would have to get fresh bread later in the week as we have visitors for the bank holiday!! I said see if you can spend as close to £50 as poss. Knowing full well they wouldn't manage it.
Well they proved me wrong, they popped into F***foods and L**L on the way to Mr T's to get the things that would be on offer!!!
Well they spend £56 and also got a few extra items that were reduced to go in the freezer for next week!!! Im Gobsmaked!!!!
He finally Get's it!!!!
Right im off the the shower!!! DS has guitar lesson and then start some training tonight for a community project!!!
So ill try to catch up later.........
Love to all................................
Edit : Yesterday and Today are NSD's please Spoon!!!!
Can I send my OH up to you for a week's intensive training please? :rotfl::rotfl:As long as you don't part with any money (be it cash or using plastic) before midnight, then the day is an NSD.
So if you start loading your trolley at 23:30 on Monday but go through the checkout at 00:10 on Tuesday, then Monday is an NSD but Tuesday isn't (as long as you didn't part with money for anything else you count as part of the challenge on the Monday)
I've done this with on-line shopping..... spend the evening loading my App F00ds 'trolley', then check out just after midnight 'cos there's a D/Debit due out so it's already a spend day anyway
Hmmm...I think I would consider that cheating a little if I actually waited until midnight to make a purchase on the internet/instore- but I don't cound DD as spend days so my rules are a bit diff. I am using the challenge to make me try and plan what I do buy better - so instead of popping into Mr T 3-4 times a week for stuff and always coming out with more, I'm trying to plan only going in once (usually need bread/milk stock up) and sticking to a list of things I really need.
Spendy day for me today as it was PAY DAY!!!! WHOOOOOO :j:j but it was nice spends as it was all for a birthday package I am putting together for my best friend who now lives in Oz. Decided to get her some silly bits, and some treaty items like travel sized toiletries, and some chocolate she can't get Down Under. Its always a bit of a challenge to choose her something as they are opposite seasons to us, plus you have to think about postage costs, and customs too. Still, lots of little bits all wrapped and ready to post - so even though I did go a bit over my present budget, I'm feeling all warm and fuzzy tonight:)
Might be a NSD tomorrow - though will need milk soon - anyone know if the 50p offer in Mr M is still on?Feb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16

But the bad news is that they must have twigged it was still triggering the 'buy 2x 4pt milk and save 6p' offer..... I had that the first few lots I bought, but it didn't work any more last FridayCheryl0 -
Nargleblast wrote: »Good evening NSD gang, have managed a NSD today. Needed batteries today but OH coughed up for them. What did we need batteries for, you may ask? An automated catfeeder where you fill the reservoir up with dry catfood and it dispenses a set amount 3 times a day.
Funny, I thought we already had a catfeeder --- called Nargleblast.....
.............just remember to change the batteries or puddy cat may go a bit hungry.............:o
I'm glad you explained what the batteries were for...........I have a very vivid imagination
Can't remember if I came on here last night. Got a bit of eb4y overload today as it was free listing day. I don't like Eb4y that much. Mind you, only managed to get 18 items on as I've put it off for so long I couldn't remember where I'd put the stuff to sellThen my batteries ran out on the camera and I had to list without pictures and then go back revise the listings when the batteries had recharged and then........well, nevermind, [STRIKE]all[/STRIKE] some of it done now and what isn't done will have to wait. Picked up some tips for next FLD from this thread.
Now off to check thread to see how many NSDs I should be on..........back in a mo.Life is knowing which bridges to burn and which bridges to build!

Back again :hello:
NSD 16 today. Will try hard for a song tomorrow.
DD is back tomorrow from her holiday:T Mum was saying they were having a mini heatwave (34 degrees in the shade at 9.30am) so when they come back into the UK it will feel like Winter! Why do I have this urge to go to Venice all of a sudden?
Wouldn't go there mate.
Full of pre-menstrual women, shouty-wrestling-karate nippers, frazzled DH and a bottom burping doberman. Not a pleasant place at the moment.
Was going to say I was off to de-frazzle DH (!) but I think I'll make him a cup of tea instead.........:rotfl:
See you soon :wave:Life is knowing which bridges to burn and which bridges to build!
