    Thanks, yet again.:)

Argos was buy now pay later, ends end of Oct so need to pay this off soon so no interest added.

Capital 1 had since 2005 usually 14% but just did 0% balance transfer for 12 months (should've put some of the others on really but just didn't think). A lot going on at the mo with my course.

Natwest CC a bit of a sore point. Paid a debt for a 'friend' who has yet to pay (have a CCJ awarded against her so need to chase this up as can then pay this off now that I have found her new address).

Need to find info on this savings account - ie if there is a penalty for withdrawing and then use that to pay some debts off.

Have been quite flippant with money, guess thats why I'm in this situation, but always managed ok before. But like many people have found cost of everything going up but minimal pay increase to go along with the rises. :(

EGG is the only application I have made so will be the only search showing over last year.

Have had a look at switching utility provider but was shocked with reviews on reccomended supplier to switch to, but then again what supplier is good??!!!

I can't really add anything ref the SOA as I think it has been covered. The only thing I would say is could you sell the car and get a cheaper one?

Also before you go food shopping next, do a store cupboard and freezer inventory. List down everything. You may be surprised as just how much food you already have, that could be use up before buying more. You could view it as a challenge - how long can i go without buying a big shop? Just topping up with fruit/veg/milk. Also BOGOF's etc only work if you don't end up with a stock pile. I have just about cleared my shampoo/makeup/body lotion mountain that was made from BOGOF offers. It has taken me A YEAR!!!!! So only get the deals if the items are going to be used fairly soon. Otherwise you are locking your money up in products...

    good luch

    Thankyou. :)

Still have another year to pay on car (0% finance) and would like to keep as I need a reliable car for work. 1st MOT due this year and have had no problems with it breaking down so only paid out for servicing. Use a local independant garage and get a discount as I know the owner! Have used them for years.

I have been using up food from cupboards and freezer and only buy BOGOFs/special offers that I use regularly (now). Was guilty of buying something if it was on special even if I already had enough.

    A bit of an update.
I have started a spending diary and have joined up to the Aug grocery challenge.
As of tomorrow I will have paid off the Barclaycard, Natwest CC and the argos balance that has interest on it using my savings. (had a tiny bit more than I thought)
I am waiting on my new EGG card (accepted) which I will use to reduce my overdraft then I will pay off the argos balance that has 0% til Oct so it's out of the way.
Then I can contact the bank and get my overdraft amount reduced so I can't run it back up and will also cancel the RBS and Natwest CC so not tempted to use again., they both have larger APR's.

    That's a little bit of progress I think??:j
Thankyou for the advice given so far.

Well you're trying real hard to go in the right direction, it goes a bit slowly at first but then it becomes a way of life and kind of bumbles on for ages until you find one day you are debt free and have some savings!

Now and again life throws a curve ball, it can be a bit of a downer when you think you were doing so well and then the car needs a new thinggumy or whatever... just be ready for it and don't let it throw you off the wagon.
    Your'e doing great.
