Should I take a loan?

  • From the info you've given, according to my calcs you have £87.77 to spend on anything else including, food, smoking, going out etc. I've made some assumptions for the debt repayments, see the figures.

I suggest you write £87.77 in a book on a Monday and keep track of what you spend/withdraw by subtraction. Do not save for the car in a seperate account as this has been accounted for in the figures and will reduce your OD interest burden. Ignore your bank balance.

    The figures are as follows:
    income weekly monthly
    self 1300.00
    partner

    total 0.00 1300.00
    300.00 divided by 4.33

    300.00 total weekly income

    spend weekly monthly
    rent/mortgage 300.00
    council tax
    elec
    gas
    water
    secured loans
    TV licence
    fines
    phone 30.00
    car 100.00
    mobile 10.00
    warranty 12.69
    specs 15.00
    petrol 50.00
    od payoff 30.00
    cc 222.00
    next 20.00
    mum 130.00

    total 0.00 919.69
    212.24 divided by 4.33

    £212.24 total weekly spend

    Start= income - spend = £87.77 per week
