Another one from me re;financial details

I am due in court and my Q is tax credits mucked up my claim and sent me £700 a month (they went on pre-tax wage not net) I have since phoned them and it will go down to what is on my DMP SOA,but in meantime it is going to look like I have way much more money than I do....Obviousley by £500

Do the judge or whoever have access to your bank account whats going in and out....

Would really appreciate an answer as this is genuine and am not trying to fiddle anything

Hi Bexxie, do you have any paperwork off the TC saying that the payments will go down? If so, I would take them with me to court, that way you have proof if they ask. I don't know if judges have power to see bank accounts, I wouldn't have thought so unless it was a huge fraud case, but I'm sure someone will be along who knows;)

Judges can ask to see bank statements as proof of income/outgoings. This is to verify any information you give them on a budget sheet. As they will use the budget sheet as a guide to set what you can afford to pay.
