Whiskers

 I have whiskers! I'm 37, and first started noticing them after the birth of my DS when I was 32. But they are getting worse and worse! I have them both sides of my chin, but nothing in the middle on the chin, and no 'tashe. No other extreme body hair anywhere else either:)
Initially I used tweezers to pluck them, but there are so many now that I just run a razor over them each time I have a shower. But there are lots:( Luckily I'm very blonde, so no noticable 5 o'clock shadow etc, but I'd like to ask:
a) is this normal? should I consider mentioning it to my GP?
b) is there a better way of controlling them? I hate feeling stubbly:eek:

i would definatley stop using a razor as in my experience it will make them feel alotcoaser and thicker, have you tried either waxing(you can by the little facial strips) or even better find somewhere near you that does threading, bearing in mind both of these will hurt a little but the effects will last a hell of a lot longer than shaving. i wax my facial hair boh whiskery things and tache (how lovely lol) about every 4 weeks, takes bout 5 mins and do it at night so by the morning all the redness has gone but am seriously considering threading as ive been told it will las longer xMarch 2014 Grocery challenge £250.000

I agree, definitely stop shaving!! I have a few stiff whiskery ones on my chin (I'm 40), and I pluck those daily then run the epilator over my chin once a week to get the downy ones
If this has only started since the birth then I'd mention it to the Dr., it could be hormonal. One of the birth control pills available is supposed to be good for excess hair.
Threading sounds good if there's somewhere local to you that does it, failing that pop into a friendly looking salon and see what they can do for you. Anything is better than shaving, once you start that u'll never stop- just think about your pits, legs etc!!0
