Natwest F&F over phone??

Hi there all
Recently Natwest offered me a full and final over the phone and said they would send a letter to confirm. I have not received the letter and have called numerous times to be told no notes on system and any settlement figure they have since provided has been substantially worse. I have also requested the transcripts over the phone but not received anything
Background, I have been off work long term due to an injury and following help from cccs, all other creditors bar Natwest stopped interest and charges and accepted full and finals 2 months ago.
I believe Natwest have made an agreement in principle and then renaged on it. Can they do this? Natwest have now passed it on to Apex Credit. In total since I've been off and earning SSP Natwest have managed to add over £700 in charges and interest (original balance £1250) even though cccs contacted them and they knew the situation and I've been told they will continue these additions.
Is it worth writing in for the transcripts and letting them know my benefactor is still prepared to pay the original sum agreed? Or what else would people suggest?
Many thanks for your help.

i feel your pain with Natwest, they have also been the only creditor that refused to stop or even reduce interest on my debt with them, they have taken thousands off me....0

I have not had any dealings with Natwest as far as my creditors go, thye are actually the bank I have my basic account with.
It may be worth writing to Natwest a letter as per the National Debt Line F & F template letter but putting in the figure that they agreed with you over the phone.
Something like this:
I write with reference to my recent telephone conversation in which I was offered a full and final settlement figure for the money which you are claiming on this account.
Further to that telephone conversation I am willing to pay £*** (enter here the figure agreed in your telephone conversation) as an ex-gratia payment in full and final settlement of the account. This offer is made on the clear understanding that, if accepted, neither you nor any associate company will take any other action to enforce or pursue this debt in any way whatsoever and that I will be released for any liability.
I also request that, if accepted, you will make an entry on a credit reference agency file relating to the above account as "satisfied" in full.
Payment can be made within 14 days of receiving your written agreement of this offer and method of payment.
I look forward to receiving your reply.
Yours faithfully
See if you get a reply. Only accept then if all of the points are confirmed.
Good luckadde parvum parvo magnus acervus erit
Add a little to a little and there will be a great heap
