What to do for the best: Overpay mortgage or keep in savings?

Hi Forumers,
To put it simply, over a few years I have scraped together some money in ISAs and premium bonds but I also have the following debts:
- large mortgage
- student loan
I have the nagging feeling that I could be using this money more effectively. Is there anything more useful than overpaying the mortgage?

In your postion I would max out the ISA's first, then throw the rest at your mortgage, which has a relatively high IR.
Premium bonds are generally considered a poor product - ditch them ASAP.In case you hadn't already worked it out - the entire global financial system is predicated on the assumption that you're an idiot:cool:0
