Selling clothes at second hand clothes agencies

Has anyone tried selling clothes through a dress agency?
There are a few up here in Edinburgh which charge a 40% or 50% commission, but they look quite intimidating (Stockxchange, Greensleeves, The Changing Room). And one out in Fife, at Markinch, called Style Conscience).
Has anyone had any experience of using these agencies, or could recommend one that re-sells non designer labels?
