Has anyone heard of this firm

My son took some advice about an IVP, but the firm said he didn't owe enough and attempted to talk him into putting his debts in their hands. Thank you for all your help with this. The firm is called Gregory Penningon, OFT approved, DEMSA approved. I don't know what this means, but has anyone else had dealings with them? I have checked the forums rules and I can't find anything about not mentioning firm names, if I have misinterprested the rules I apologise.

You can mention them. They are referred to on the boards (sometimes as GP) very rarely positively.

If he is not doing an IVA then it sounds like its a DMP they are recommending. If that is what is right for him then he is best off doing it with a charity. as GP will charge him a monthly fee and a charity won't.
Suggest he takes advice from one of these as to what is the best solution for his circumstances. IMPORTANT - Where to seek professional impartial advice about your debts.
