Hi

I am staying at a Village hotel in Farnborough next week and just priced the ticket to London for two adults and two children £39 eeeekkkkk (Plus parking). I wondered if anyone had any ideas of another station not too far away that would be cheaper and car parking not too high?

Many thanks

Just wondering if you've worked your way through the tips in Martin's article on train tickets here?

Also would a Family and Friends Railcard be worth getting? If you've got time to order online there's a 10% discount, otherwise £26, if you plan to travel with children again in the next 12 months it could be worthwhile. Saves 1/3 on adult fares and 60% on children's.

Although that's no good if you are traveling at peak time, M-F.
