Spray Tan problems!

Hello
I've had a couple of spray tans and both times its gone extra dark and a bit blotchy on my chest (between and under boobs!) and also spotty around and in my armpits! I made sure i exfloiated well before i went and didn't wear any deodrant.
Wondered if it might be sweat and it 'sticking' to sweat glands and in pores?
Any advice much appreciated!!
