Sent cheaper item not what I ordered

I ordered a camera lens from a well known catalogue company and when it arrived found it was the cheaper version of the lens I had ordered but when I contacted the company all they would do was arrange a return and gave me no idea on whether they would replace it with the one I originally ordered. What are my rights?

If they are taking the item back and refunding you for it then unfortunately that is all they are legally obliged to do.0
