golden wedding anniversary Hamper Help!!!!

My Sister and I have come up withe idea of making a hamper for our parents for their Golden Wedding Anniversary. Using the list such as year 1 is for paper, year 5 is wood etc.

we have found a list that covers we think all 50 years.

So as you can imagine 50 presents needs to be found. We don't want to spend more than £10 an item.

We have had a few ideas Pot pouri , newspaper for the year of their wedding , scented candles.

So i am sure you lovely people will have ideas. Our list shows tradtional, modern ,gems and flowers for each of the years.

If any of you can come up with any ideas we will try and fit them into an appropriate year. We have until Dec to give us time to find all the items.

I am doing a similar thing for my MIL and FIL next month, but what I have done is 50 "gold " things. I have still got 6 to get. I have things like candles, potpourri, a vase, glasses, a photo frame with a copy of their wedding photo in it, and lots of grocery items with the word gold in them - tea, coffee, biscuits, chocolate, sweetcorn, pineapple, etc.
I plan to put them in a giant box covered in gold wrapping paper, and wrap each one individually in gold tissue. I hope that they appreciate the time and effort!

That sounds a great idea too. Trust us to try the other way one of the years for us1 year says real estate probably not going to get much for £10 though.

Good luck on your hamper I am sure they will appreciate it. What about buying some gold leaf which is edible and put it on a cake of some sort.

Could you paste in the list of what each year is? Im not familiar with them all, but may be able to help when I know what they are! Also maybe just put which ones you have ideas for and what they are.

For the real estate you could get one of those lilliput lane ornaments or you could make a donation to somewhere like the National Trust on their behalf.

Like someone else has said if you could post the list that would be a big help.

Hi - I've just been looking at making paper roses on Youtube and they are really easy. You could make some brilliant ones in gold, to decorate your hamper.
