I have a daft question…..

I know how to make “extra” payments to my store cards and to OH’s overdraft, but I can’t work out how to pay extra to the OH’s credit card, it’s a HSBC account, I have looked all over the online accounts and can’t see any way of doing this, can somebody give me a clue?

I'd phone them and ask for a sort code and bank account number to make the payment to - you usually put the card number as the payment reference.

I pay for my credit card online (natwest) via the TRANSFER section.

I can pay as much as I like off - it only takes 2 minutes to intially set up, you just need the name of your credit card company and your card details.

Generally on credit card statements they give you a number of ways to pay, so I would look at the back of your husband's statement and see.
  • Thank you everybody, i know where i'm looking now :)

Normally if you take the card, with the payment, to the bank of issue, in your case HSBC, you should be able to pay over the counter.
