ELF makeup - what would you recommend?

I've been cruising the ELF website, thinking of my birthday next month.

Those of you who've bought from them, what would you recommend, keeping in mind I'm 41, have most essentials, I'm not high maintenence makeup wise, though interested in some of the studio line of things I've never tried before...i.e. face primer, eyebrow lifter etc.

Also curious to know what is good for younger teens too, for ideas of presents for my 4 daughters.

Thanks.
No buying unnecessary toiletries 2014. Epiphany on 4/4/14 - went into shop to buy 2 items, walked out with 17!

  • I bought the mineral foundation/blusher set, came with brushes and a little bag all for £15 - it's really good (I'm 46 btw!). I did buy a white eyeliner as well but to be honest, I couldn't get it to go on thick enough to show up. Look out for discount codes for ELF, we did a big order from our office and got money off plus free delivery.

    Hi

I still havent found my holy grail foundation. All of them seem to sink into my skin. What is the coverage like?

    :)

I think its quite good compared to others! One of my favourites in relation to cover is Jerome Alexanders Mineral foundation, that seems to last all day

My Holy Grail foundation is Estee Lauder Maximum Cover. It really does cover everything which is ideal for me as I have a lost of post-acne marks.

With regards to ELF, I've tried quite a few bits and bobs of theirs and I'd recommend the mineral eye shadows (especially for their colours - plus they shimmer nicely without being too glittery) and their brushes. Haven't really been blown away by much else of theirs. For cheap mineral make-up I'd recommend Everyday Minerals. I was hooked on their stuff for quite a while! I've got an entire unit full of various sample pots from them :)
Never argue with an idiot; they'll bring you down to their level and then beat you with experience.
