Property prices diving by up to a quarter by the end of 2012

Yup.
Any reason why I shouldn't?
Balance would infer that you maintain an even level on things.
I've only ever recall you post / bump etc negative stories.
Balance would mean that when there was a glut of negative stories, that you bumped the positive ones.
So for me, not bumped for balance, but simply bumped for personal agreement to the thread (title):wall:

I think Hamish, you, Really, chucky etc etc all bump quite adequately on the other side of the argument.
You appear to have misunderstood me - I wasn't claiming to represent 'balance' in my own persona - on the contrary, I make no secret of my views - but to restore balance to the forum as a whole (or try to).0 -
Bumping as Hamish is busy at work.Bumping for the sake of balance.

Why don't you email abuse and ask them, as I'm sure there's a policy against bumping the same thread repeatedly.“The great enemy of the truth is very often not the lie – deliberate, contrived, and dishonest – but the myth, persistent, persuasive, and unrealistic.
Belief in myths allows the comfort of opinion without the discomfort of thought.”

I think I have occasionally bumped a thread, but in general it was a humorous mocking of those who bump threads.
Generally I post to a thread making a contribution.
This is not bumping but contributing to a debate.
P.s I've also made posts pointing out both sides
Back on topic, I doubt prices will dive by up to a quarter, just a personal belief

in my extensive library - sandwiched between keynes, burke, voltaire, galbraith, and smith - lies a limited and signed edition simply entitled 'thoughts' by dopester. it's arguably the foremost single-volume history of UK economics ever published and has been favourably compared to 'an enquiry into the wealth of nations' in respect of its towering (and awe-inspiring) intellectual insight).
please don't approach me with a view to purchase; I spent a lot of time, effort and money securing this gem.
meanwhile (on my personal 'remainder' shelf) a well-thumbed copy of 'adventures in oz and how Merrie England got shafted' sits.
finally,in a cardboard box located in my garage we find a forlorn and unread pulp fiction copy (unwanted xmas present) of 'crivens! hoose prices never come doon. they didnea an' they willnae'.
the blurb on the jacket explains little, so I offered to donate it to oxfam (who politely declined).
Actually...off topic to this thread....has he been around recently? Maybe he's on hols, lying next to a pool in the sun....or maybe not.:D0 -
Bull or bear - Why bother to bump? There are probably no more than a dozen or so regulars who read this board.0

Generally i find that people who are selling, or intend to sell their properties, believe that prices are stable or increasing.
And those who are looking to buy a property are adament that prices are falling or will fall.....
But my favourite observation was in the Private Eye satirical magazine which had a spoof news article along the lines of 'It is reported today that property prices are rising/falling/stable'.0
