I've got an Intempo one and a Pure one. I bought the Intempo one first, and was delighted with it. But, I got the Pure one 1/2 price in Argos and it is far better. The signal strength is much stronger, even in the same room, and the sound quality is better.

I have the Acoustic Solutions Portal 2 and it's great. No alarm but does have an FM tuner (if you need one) and line out socket. It's also a really nice design, beige and brown plastic (not wood - I'm not keen on wooden radios personally) and can be used upright or standing at 45 degrees. My friends often comment on how nice it looks.

Asda were selling the Portal 1 for £45 a while ago, and it's currently £50 at Boots. Same as the 2 but silver plastic, no FM tuner and mono speakers. Most DAB stations broadcast in mono anyway, so it shouldn't be too much of a problem.
