Memory foam & pocket mattress - anyone bought from luxury beds direct ltd on ebay?

We're looking for a new bed - after a disastrous last buy of a Silentnight double sided pillowtop that lasted under 2 years - we did extend it with a 2" memory foam topper but it's on its last legs now.

I've looked on ebay & this seems like an absolute bargain BUT has anyone had one of them for months/years & how is it performing?

We're both big people so need something that can last our weight.
I know it's only 1 sided but turning it may be a problem for us. If we did manage to turn it then presumably we could use our existing memory foam topper on the underside?

Other than that can anyone recommend an alternative?

We do have a sprung base at the moment but although it looks OK presumably that will need changing too? Could do with some extra storage.

Also looking at these BUT may be same seller as in initial one.

At the price you are looking at you will struggle to find a good quality pocket sprung and memory foam bed.

If as you say you are large people, then you will deffinately need to be able to turn the mattress in order to make it last (no using your topper won't work).

Did you realise that the second link wat to a mattress that contains Miracoil springs. This means that it is made by the Silentnight group:eek::eek:

Tim - thanks for your comments BUT I was hoping the 'struggle to find a good quality one' MIGHT be over as there is excellent feedback on ebay. However, I DO realise that the feedback was left within days/weeks of receiving the bed.

What I am looking for is feedback on here from people who have bought months or years ago. I want to see how they feel about their purchase now.

Hi,

try sleep design mattresses. They apparently are the best in foam mattresses. You can get them under £200.

Also note, the mattress that you are looking at has on 3" foam and then the rest is normal mattress....so its really not a proper memory foam mattress.

It sounds like you have been listening to their sales hype. They are by no means the best in foam mattresses, but they just like to tell people they are.
