Any advice on getting an instruction booklet for a brand new washing machine?:(
I bought a washing machine from a Curry's showroom some months ago - it took ages to be delivered & despite having paid for fitting this was not carried out. After making a huge fuss & emailing the Managing Director with photographic evidence of how the machine was left in my kitchen it was fitted (note a day wasted to achieve this end). I was not given an instruction booklet & despite requesting one several times I still have not received one. I was given a `voucher' for £50 for all the time & aggravation I went through to get said washing machine fitted so I could use it but I want an instruction booklet for the machine - it was reduced because of a scratch on it but I would never have paid nearly £600 for a machine that didn't come with instructions!
I have not spent the voucher as it is a letter requiring ID to `spend' it & frankly I am not in a hurry to visit either Currys or Dixons in a hurry for any additional purchases until this matter is satisfactorily resolved. I would prefer an instruction booklet for my goods & buy my electricals from supermarkets or online in future (which are cheaper anyways).
I have written again stating that I would contact my credit card company to stop the payment but haven't even received a response. I phoned today but gave up after spending over 30 minutes waiting to speak to an operator.

whats the make and model of your machine? have you tried googling?
or you could always email the manufacturer direct , im sure they would have a copy. Can you see the mountains through the fog?0 -
You bought a clearance/display model. When doing this I would say the onus is on you to check it is complete with the box and instructions etc. If you bought a full price one your complaint would be valid.0

Seriously I had to queue to even get served & I am embarrassed/annoyed to have paid so much for a new machine from a shop & get such short shrift/hassle when I could have got a 2nd hand one faster & much cheaper.0 -
As above, Google the make and model.
So many manuals are available to download in PDF format these days, also try the manufacturers website.0
