Awful day at work...
Somebody pass me the shotgun.. That colleague of mine does not deserve a life.. Why she goes out of her way to make every day a misery for me, I do not know.. All back stabbing, sarcastic comments.. If she had been a bloke, I would have had a serious talk with them in the car park by now, and probably more than words..
But I know, the only thing she is waiting for is a reaction from me, so she can go and whinge at a higher level, accusing me of harrasment and all sorts..
After that kind of day, I could happilly give up..Froggy's New Lillypad FundTotal so far: £ 10,009.770 -
Don't give up Froggy.
I hate people like that - we have a boss like that who is always gunning for a reaction, but if you make it your mission to be as nice as possible and bite your tongue - you can live with the satisfaction that you are annoying them alot more than they are annoying you.
Take care, sending (((hugs))).

OK Froggy, a little positive thinking exercise for you.... firstly though, I need to know if you saw Thunderbirds when you were a boy (or adult for that matter

Hi Froggy, only advice I have is to be lovely to everyone as that's more infuriating for the grumpy colleagues.
Just keep doing your job in the professional way you will and ignore her

OK, Thunderbirds - from wiki - "The series followed the adventures of International Rescue, a secretive organisation created to help those in grave danger using technically advanced equipment and machinery launched from its hidden Tracy Island base".
The most famous rescue vehicle was Thunderbirds 2 "Heavy supersonic VTOL carrier lifting body aircraft used for the transport of major rescue equipment and vehicles"
HERE it is in action.
OK, so now you know what I am talking about........ in the launch you'll see it picking up a pod. What you need to do is the following:
- Pick an ideal cupboard or filing cabinet for Thunderbirds to live (in your imagination). Preferably one behind where the colleague sits.
- Whenever you see the colleague approaching you need to scramble Thunderbirds 2. Except instead of it picking up Pod 6, as it did in the clip, it picks up a large bell jar - big enough to drop over your colleague.
- Thunderbirds 2 approaches her from behind and drops the bell jar over her. All the negativity is inside the jar with her and although you can see and hear her you cannot feel it.
OK, this is a lighthearted solution but it is based on a well known technique where you cover yourself in a protective bubble to stop other people's negativity touching you. I'm a bit claustrophobic and didn't see why I should be the one affected.
Try it Froggy (or adapt to some French equivalent). It really worked for me when a colleague was being very negative. When I saw him approaching I would scramble Thunderbirds 2 and 'watch' it fly after him and drop the belljar over him. Complete with music (that is the theme tune in the clip). By the time he reached me I would be grinning (especially if the belljar had clunked him on the way down). It really helped me get through it. My relentless cheerfulness has broken his spirit now :rotfl:.
If the colleague sits very close you may need Thunderbirds 2 hovering permanently overhead, ready to lower and lift as necessary. Maybe you could devise a secret signal - tapping the desk or something - to activate it.
Try googling "protect from negativity - bubble" to see where I got the idea from - I prefer Thunderbirds to a guardian angel.
