Morning Froggy, well done on the £120, we love hearing about your master plan fund :D

Good work with sky, sounds like the charm did the trick and you didn't have to tell outrageous whoppers like some we know, aka Billy :rotfl:

I've got a nice quietish weekend ahead with just plans to help my mother do some sorting out in her house as she's like a woman possessed at the minute; she has a very big house which really means lots of space to hide clutter and forget about it. The biggest laugh we had last week was she found two bottles of hand wash which were from Safeway, Froggy I'm not sure how long you have been in the UK but Safeway was a large supermarket chain bought out by Sainsburys at least ten years ago!

    Have a good weekend
    Regards

Thanks ATT.. Laughed out loud when I read your comment about Billy.. The worse thing is that he will take that as a compliment..

Been living over here for almost 11 years.. Have heard of Safeway before.. Bless your Mum, I am sure she will really appreciate your help..

  • When my oh moved in with me he brought a tin of baking powder that was 24 years beyond its date code......... Makes Safeway hand wash seem positively modern.....
Paid off mortgage nine years early in 2013. Now picking and choosing our work to fit in with the rest of our lives!
Still thrifty though, after all these years:D

Hiya ATT / Guid Eenin Froggy,

I leave the planet for a couple of weeks and am disparaged in my absence. I'll have you both know that, in these times of economic turmoil, redundancies, however false, are nothing to be joked about. They may, allegedly, be something to be lied about but it's no laughing matter - some of us are really suffering through here!

I'll also have you both know that my deeply principled approach to 2012 means that I am deeply ashamed of my (again, alleged) actions in late 2011. These wraught feelings are to some extent counterbalanced by my most recent scamming of Tesco mobile..but that wasn't really my fault as it was an accidental moneysaving introduced by them.

    Consider yourselves appropriately chastised!

Cheers - and Happy New Year to you both,

    Billy

Good weekend all around, not too much money spent..

Got 2 new pair of shoes, that will last well into next year.. Food shopping was done within budget...

First weigh in of the year.. Ouch :o 248lbs.. I have no set target, but the aim is to lose and feel better.. Trousers are tight, and I will not be buying the size above.. Its also affecting my ping pong game, so it has got to change if we are to stay in the same division..

Probably no money news till payday when I can do some transfers..

    Hope everybody is great today!

    Cheers

  • Morning Froggy,

I think you and DH could motivate each other. He is 6.3" and 256lbs. He has a plan to go down to 224 which although BMI indicates a lower weight ideal, he feels really well. Not sure whether you are in the market for a virtual training buddy but it may help you both?

Payday is not for a couple of weeks which I am finding frustrating . Like you I want to crack on.

Anyway, next call in 7 mins so just time for a cuppa

    Hi Tilly

I am 6.5" and 248lbs.. Happy to have a little bit of a competition..:rotfl: Whats the prize? BMI does not really show reality especially for tall people.. If I was a healthy BMI, I would be dead skinny and would look gaunt..

Good luck for the next call, I am like you, I do have my fair share of conf calls with head office colleagues & peers in the US..
