Supermarkets Price Comparison

Hi everyone:),
I am a student at De Montfort University and im doing a dissertation on comparison advertising done by supermarkets and the effects of their price comparisons adverts on people. The purpose of my research is to find out if these adverts have any effects on people and whether they influence in any way where people shop or the way they shop. I am trying to find out the general opinion of public on the comparison adverts by supermarkets.
I will be grateful if you can participate in the discussion and answer my research questions. The questions are as follows:
- Gender?
- Age Range: 20 and under?, 21-40?, 41-60?, over60?
1. Which supermarket do you shop at and why that particular supermarket?
2. How do you find shopping at supermarkets? Do you see it as an enjoyable experience or do you see it as just another chore?
3. Is everything that you buy from the supermarkets planned? Do sales promotions such as "buy one get one free offers" tempt you to make unplanned purchases?
4. Where have you noticed the supermarket comparison adverts? For example, TV, leaflets, in-store?? What is your opinion on such adverts? Have these ads influenced where you shop or brought any change in your shopping behaviour?
5. Do you trust the claims these supermarkets make in these comparison ads? If no, why?
Sorry for the long post. If you can answer all the questions, that will be great but if you cannot, please answer the ones that you can.
Many thanks:),
Raj
