H2B had two surprises, one before the wedding day and one on it:

    1) We got married in June. Back in Feb, his mum told me that his cousin could come over from Canada for the wedding. We didn't think she would as she and her family did a month in the UK last summer, having not been here for about 15 years. We hadn't thought she'd be able to afford to come over. MIL asked me to keep it quiet which gave me a panic. Luckily another family member of his RSVP'ed 'no' so I told him they were coming, and the Elizabeth, the Canadian cousin was Josh on the table plan lol. He got surprised two days before the wedding when we went to MIL's house and Elizabeth was there. :D

    2) Our honeymoon was in the UK, so I bought a 'Just Married' vinyl sticker for the back of our car, and my brother stuck it in on the morning of the wedding. Hubby saw it when we went off for some photos of just the two of us in the grounds. :D It went with us on the 2,000 miles we covered on our honeymoon (home - Lake District - Skye - Loch Ness and back). Got us lots of beeps and waves on the way up as it said our wedding date of 11th June and we drove up on the 13th. :D And it was only about £9 on eBay! :money:

I'm getting H2B more of a surprise... his fav car is a Ford Mustang GT (new model as seen in the Transformers movies... lol)

So on the morning of the wedding it will be turning up outside our house for him, chauffer driven with ribbons on :j (I'm staying at the hotel we're getting married in the night before)... currently he thinks best man is taking him in his Ford Fiesta :D

I arranged it with these people: http://www.fordmustangwedding.co.uk/

We are going with the first one (grey) as it's in our area, just about (actually it's just south of what it normally covers but we negotiated a price based on the extra travel).

Obviously haven't had the service yet but all seems v professional so far!

    Hi,

I got married a couple of years ago now but I surprised my hubby in a few ways. He was staying in the hotel with all the men (and his mum) the night before so I gave her a few little gifts to give to him the morning before, all wrapped in paper to match our colour scheme of course! He had some after shave (the men's version of my perfume), some socks and undies to match (cos I knew he wouldn't think of that!) and some fab cufflinks to wear for the wedding. I also had a card made (a beautiful handmade one saying 'for my groom on our wedding day' and I wrote a big long message which they printed inside for me, basically talking him through the vows we were going to make and what they meant to me for us specifically, telling him 'When I say 'for better or for worse, I'll mean... (and added loads of soppy and funny things about our lives together).
Then similar to someone above, he thought he was going to the church in his mate's car, but I booked a silver limo for them, with champers. And then to top it off, I'd ordered some special pink champagne (to match our pink colour scheme!) and bought him this gorgeous stainless steel bracelet, which I'd had engraved with a special message and our wedding date. They were in the limo which took us to the reception so I gave him the bracelet on the way and we drank the champers! I know, I know, very slushy (and not MSE at all!) but he loved it and never ever takes his bracelet off.

Oh and he did nice stuff for me too!!! Tee hee

I keep warning him not to have a drink in the morning before he sees the Registrar, so I think when we are in the car alone after the ceremony on the way to the reception........I'll produce a sneaky hip flask!!! :D
