Barclaycard say my token payment is not enough! What do I do now?

As everyone has said dont give in they will send letters to try to up the amount offered I only pay them £4.00 a month this is a pro-rata offer they have accepted but every couple of months they send a letter from in house DCA asking for more but I wont pay anymore its standard procedure for them as long as you pay them what you can afford they will eventually accept the good thing is they will freeze interest and charges eventually you have got to be firm and dont call them put it all in wrting and keep copies

Barclaycard have very strict rules they have to follow-

• Barclaycard can not force you to repay more than you can comfortably afford each month.
• If you make a reduced payment, Barclaycard can not refuse it.
• Barclaycard can not add charges as a penalty for non payment, other than to cover the real costs of collections activity.

If they try to break any of these rules, you are well within your rights to report them to the OFT.
