short term mortgages, do they exist in UK?

Hi all,
Do lenders offer shorter term mortgages in the UK, such as 10 or 15 years?
I'm due to remortgage soon and wondered if i could look into doing this rather than mucking about with early repayments on a 25 year mortgage?
Looking briefly on google it seems the only hits i get are for american and french mortgages, all of which suggest that the shorter term mortgages in those countries can have much lower interest rates.
Has anyone done this in the UK, does anyone know of a good deal, who offers them and what are the pitfalls or concerns?
Thanks in advance!!
P.S. Love this site....and this is my FIRST POST!!! woohoo

It is possible to have the mortgage debt for very short periods even if the initial contact might be for longer.
Look at the number of people that just pay the mortgage off after their fixed periods(2-3-4) end.0 -
Thanks for the info...just had a quick look around following your answers and yes indeed most of the providers provide various length terms.
Cheers!0
