I've used sprays for ever it seems, but ran out while on holiday in US so had to buy a solid (Dove grapefruit & lemongrass) as u can't buy such a thing a deodorant spray in America. I didn't think I'd like it but its marvellous, kept me dry in nearly 100F heat:T
What do others think? Are solids or roll ons better than sprays? I'm beginning to think so. I've been back on the spray since my return last week but its just not the same. Will be using the solid one for a few days to see if its just cos its so bloody muggy here or what (only about 12% humidity over there)

I have been using Mum roll on for years & have never tried spray deodorants. I have also bought Dove roll on when Mum wasn't available & liked it, but went back to Mum after.Best wishes,

I loathe sprays, and I especially dislike any scented antiperspirant/deodorants. I have used Mitchum unscented roll on for years now, and it keeps me jolly fresh. I have a very physical job (beauty therapist) and believe me, a whole body wax on a 6'4" policeman can make you sweat! With Mitchum there's no fear of any nasty niffs or wet patches under the arms.
I buy it from Tesco when they have it on sale - fairly regularly thankfully.
Sprays always put me in mind of spotty teenage boys and Lynx - ugh!0 -
I dont use sprays, I dont trust them.
I also use Mitcham roll-on, works well.0 -
I absolutely adore the solid ones, they work brilliantly - & am just running out of the supply of 'Secret' I bought (reduced!) on hol in USA last year.
It's frustrating the selection here is so poor - & so tiny even if you can find them! I think I paid about $1.47 last year. :j:D:beer::eek::A:p:rotfl::cool::):(:T0 -
I use both.
I use roll on or solids for my under arms and then spray for my back and waist and sometimes legs. I go to the gym alot and sweat horrible amounts (wont detail here) and generally sweat alot day to day, have night sweats every night.... so I feel I need something that coveres my entire body- you wouldn't catch anyone of sane mind pasting their entire body with a roll on!
Each has its own reason for existing IMO. Depends what you need them for.0 -
Always a roll on and usually unscented so it doesn't fight with my perfume.
I really don't want to be inhaling the stuff which is pretty much inevitable with a spray.0 -
Well, I used my Dove solid this morning, have done most of my work for the day, including carrying 4 large bags of shopping home. Usually by now I would would be pretty damp but all I can smell is Dove. I'm converted!!0

I always used to prefer sprays for some reason i thought they were better then roll ons. I think i got that idea when i was a kid. my mother used to buy the cheapest roll on she could find and it was not good although i found out in latter years personal hygiene is very low on my mothers list. A few years back money was very tight i didnt have enough for a spray and had to buy a roll on i was not very happy. I soon changed my mind and realiised i was wrong i now use mostly roll ons and solids but i do buy the odd spray.0
